We have been told that coconut oil will improve digestion and nutrient absorption for our Fur Babies. We have even been told that it can aid in the healing of digestive disorders like inflammatory bowel syndrome and colitis, but did you know that it can also have some great benefits when applied on their coat too?
It can disinfect cuts and improve their general skin and coat condition. Using coconut oils regularly you will find that any little wounds will heal faster. And unlike many herbal products your dog will probably love the taste, so you should see some improvement in the smell of their breath too.
But the number one thing that we love here at Coco Kaboo, is the fact that Coconut Oil helps moisturize and deodorize your Fur Baby’s coat.
Calendula Oil is known for it’s anti-inflammatory and healing properties due to it’s high triterpenoid content. It’s ability to fight bacterial infections through it’s antiseptic properties is well known.
Macadamia Oil Shhh, this is our little secret. This oil should be one of the most praised oils for dehydrated skin.
It helps in the hydration of dry skin, while also aiding in skin recovery.
It provides protection to the skin, helping to reduce itchiness and inflammation.
Essential Oils
Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both powerfully fragrant and beautiful. Yet the use of essential oils goes well beyond their fragrant appeal.
Essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their health-promoting properties. Their unique chemical structure allows them to deliver targeted benefits through topical application.
Therapeutic-grade essential oils like the ones we use, are most often extracted via a low-heat steam distillation process in which steam is circulated under pressure through plant material, liberating the essential oils into the steam.
This complex process is as much an art form as it is a science and requires experienced growers and distillers working together to ensure a superior product.
