Do a test patch
You may read this on human stuff all the time and risk it . But please don’t do this with your dog.
We are confident that very few, if any dogs will react to our products. However, we would hate to find out that yours does after applying it all over them.
So for the first 3 days, we recommend putting a little bit on one small place that the dog cannot get to it. Places like the base of the neck, under the neck, under the upper front leg (like our armpit) or even behind the ear. Do not put it on an already affected area. If your dog reacts during this time or at in time discontinue use immediately.
All our products are tested on humans not on animals.
No dogs were used as “Guinea Pigs” in the creation of any of our formulas. However, the same cannot be said for our human family or friends of the Coco Kaboo pack. Most formulas were adjusted from known formulas already used by the family and then adjusted to allow for safe use on dogs.
You will be pleased to know that none of the human guinea pigs had any adverse reactions to our formulas, nor do they, any longer, have fleas.
Apply oil based Products at night
Anyone who grew up in the 80’s knows that coconut oil applied to the skin is a wonderful way of getting an accelerated tan or lets face it, burning. Well apply our oil based products before sending your dog out in the sun will do the same thing. The additional benefit of apply at night is that their bedding or yours, will smell better.
How to apply our Pawfumes and Furgrance Products
Remember the saying “Less is Best”. The products you are using include all natural Essential Oils rather than diluted products that you may used to. This means there aroma maybe stronger than most people are used to. This will reduce significantly once applied to your dog, with the carriers helping to cover the area with little formula being need.
In regard to application, we recommend either spraying on the brush and grooming through your dogs fur. Or for an even better application, spraying a small amount in your gloved hand and massaging through to your dog’s skin below their fur.
When not to use our products.
- Do not apply to Puppies under 10 weeks
- Do not apply to pregnant or lactating mothers (human or dog).
- Do not apply to cats. birds, rabbits, birds or guinea pigs.
