Do a test patch
You may read this on human stuff all the time and risk it but please don’t do this with your Fur Baby. We are confident that very few, if any dogs will react to our products. However, you would hate to find out that yours does after applying it all over them. So for the first 3 days, we recommend putting a little bit on one small place that the dog cannot get to it. Places like the base of the neck or under the neck. If your dog reacts during this time or at in time obviously discontinue use immediately.
All our products are tested on humans
No dogs were used as “Guinea Pigs” in the creation of these blends. However, the same cannot be said for Coco Kaboo’s human family members. Who you will be pleased to know did not have any reactions.
Don’t put it in their eyes or ears
Depending on the product you are using, the essential oils we used could provide a warm feeling to help sore skin, which would sting the eyes or ears if applied.
Apply the Fragrance Oils at night
Anyone who grew up in the 80’s knows that Coconut Oil is wonderful for getting a tan. Nothing is different for your Fur Baby. Coconut oil applied in the morning as you go out to spend a day at the beach or outdoors will ensure they get sunburnt terribly. Remember the 2nd benefit of apply at night is that their bedding will smell prettier.
A small amount goes a long way
Remember the saying “Less is Best”. The products you are using are Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. Therefore the smell will be stronger than most people are used to. In addition, the Oil 110ml sprays can look quite greasy on some dogs when applied. For this reason, we recommend spraying a small amount in your gloved hand then apply it to you dog. Then you can slowly increase the amount until you find the “Right amount of Sprays” for your dog.
When not to apply it
- Do not apply to Puppies under 10 weeks or Children under 6 years.
- Do not apply to pregnant or lactating mothers of either the human or the furry kind.
- Do not apply to cats.
For Treatment Oils, use twice a day for 3 days then reduce to nightly for up to 20 days. Unlike humans, dogs skin cells have a 20 day cycle so therefore you may need to use for the whole cycle to treat all layers.
We Proudly Support Without a Ribbon Inc
